Thankyou . You don't have to use distilled water do you ? Because I didn't know that and I've been using normal water for the past 3 days .
14 chicks View attachment 2982429
Aww. Cute!Solo has been back in the brooder since last night and behaving herself. The chicks are fascinated with her and she just ignores them. I put some fresh sawdust in their brooder and she’s been scratching around and the chicks of course want to know what she’s up to.
First pipin the wrong end
It was the one I've been watching the closest. Had a hard time getting it's air cell stable.
Good to know. Thank you. I looked as good as possible through my vent hole, is it okay that I see a piece of shell knocked off but I don't see a hole in the membrane?Hey at least it's pipped! That's half the battle with malpositions. Just keep in mind that when you see a malposition pip it's not uncommon for it to take twice as long for the chick to hatch because they make both the internal and external pip in one go.

Thank you. I read it last night for the second time and watched any video I could for this exact egg. I thought he might be a pain. Haha. I went in and created a small breathing hole and had an instant chirp so I think it may have been the right move as I haven't heard a noise before that point. You might want to read up on assisting just in case. I had two like this last month. Both needed a partial assist.
