February 2022 Hatch-A-Long

Pics
This is my 2nd hatch with this incubator so I'm anxious to see if it goes as well as it did the first time! 8 out of 9 in November...I dropped the lid and it cracked so they sent me a new incubator. Exact same kind but not the exact same one I did first hatch with...so if all goes well this week I'll let ya know.
They must be pretty good otherwise they wouldn't have doubled in price in less than 6 months!!!

The price of many things have doubled and even tripled in the past few months.

Hey I was candling my eggs in this one looked different than the others. Is it good ? Just thought I'd make sure.

I can't tell from this image what I'm looking at but it does appear to have some red pools, yes? What day of incubation are you on? It may have ruptured a blood vessel but that also doesn't immediately mean that it will quit. I once had a chick hatch that the entire air cell was black from dried blood and it was perfectly fine. I was stunned, it's the only time I've seen it but I wouldn't give up just yet.

Day 8 or 9.

Hmm, that's pretty early. Another odd thing I've seen in other hatches but not my own is that in some cases when the egg is washed prior to incubation mold spores can make their way inside the egg creating the darker spots that I was thinking was the chick but if it's day 8 I'm not sure. Definitely take some additional pictures or even a video so we can try to get a better idea of what you're looking at. It's hard to see in the image.
