Isn't it exciting?! I would seal them up just to be on the safe side. It'll stop any bacteria from sneaking in there. I've used wax before (from birthday candles). I think others have used nail polish.
I just can't wait for them to hatch

it will not hurt them the chick is to big to stick to the side my last hatch i put in eggs at too diff times and while i was in lock down will one set of eggs and others could not be turned i could not open the incubating so after those hatched i went in to lock down with my second batch there were only three eggs too hatched good luck with your hatchIs it alright if I don't turn my eggs for one day before lockdown? My eggs should go into lockdown on the 25th but I'll be gone the 24th for a wedding. My only other option would be to put the eggs into lockdown a day early, although I don't know how I'd make sure the humidity was being maintained... what do you guys think?
thanks good luck with your hatchWelcome aboard lol its fine we all are about there. I have duck and chicken eggs due this weekend. So far from my first set of chicken eggs I only had three hatch successfully. Six still haven't hatched I am going to give them a bit longer before calling it. They have till Friday when I have to go on lock down for the other eggs.
