FEBRUARY HATCH-A-LONG come join in

Started with 9, identified 2 non starters early. 9 have hatched and a quick candle of the remaining one showed nothing but liquid... no chickie. I missed it during the initial candling I guess. All are out that are coming out! Everyone seem to be happy and healthy.

well here is a picture of my one chick that hatched. this hatch is 1 out of 10 not that good as far as hatch rates go but what can you do. still have one egg in the incubator because as i was candleing before tossing i saw movement so

the one that hatched last night, splash silkie.

Oh my gosh. What a cute baby txmel.

Today is day 21 and I have 3 pipped! One is on the bottom of the egg but its a decent hole. Is that OK? They are in egg cartons.

Best of all. They closed work today because of the blizzard!

Today is day 21 and we have 4 chicks, 3 pips and 10 eggs waiting.

All chicks hatched are from blue/green eggs so far.

One of the fuzzy buts hatched. The egg started rocking and chips of egg shell went flying. The chick made a full 360 cut around the top of the egg then lifted it like cap. It's peeping and moving around already. I really can't believe it came out of that little shell!

If I didn't watch the whole thing I would think someone slipped one in on me. The color is black and gold. I wonder what color it will turn out to be.

Yeah for all the chickies that have made it!!!

Went to bed last night with one pip in one egg. It's Day 20, woke up and that egg has almost fully zipped now and I have pips in 4 more eggs!!!
