Tomorrow is day 19 and I won't be there, then on day 21 I won't be there. . . .

I thought I would be there all day and all night just to watch my two chickies hatch, but instead I have to be in another city, 90+ miles away to get some more chicks. . . . So for me it is good news and bad news. I don't know how to handle it! I just hope both will hatch and live out to be healthy chickens, boy or girl!

I have 14 LF favs still going strong due the 22nd and 8 bantam fav eggs from Rose Isgrig still developing they are due the 24th. Wish me luck! I also have eggs arriving from uggly duckling soon and might set around 20 of my own eggs. Busy time around here I need to make another brooder

Thank you so much, there is a ton of useful info there....this was extremely helpful. I'm worried my air cells were more the size of day 14 on lockdown than what they should have been by day 18. I started with high humidity for the first 2 days then read about the dry method and removed the water bowl and sponge...I hope I didn't ruin this hatch cause of that. Friday is day 21, and nothing is happening, no pips, no peeps....NOTHING!!! I keep telling myself to be patient, but it's so hard, especially when I hear about all these early pips (day 19) and hatches. Someone is really testing my patients and self control right now

Well my first set of 29 is done and today I have 4 more that are going into lockdown. Two more silkies and two that my and my DW are debating on what they will be. She says silkie but I think they are golden comet X.

lock down should have been this morning, but I overslept for work, and no time for the eggies. Going to add extra H2O this evenign, and turn off turner. Hopefully they will all come out fine on my 1st hatching try (outside of a chicken incubator). We will see on Sunday/Monday.

So, who is hatching today???

I haven't even candled yet, and I was dreaming all night about my incubator and eggs! I think this can make you crazy.

I have peeping! no pips though. I don't think I will be able to pull myself away from the bator all day today.
I went to check on them this morning and heard the peep, so I run and call my husband to listen too.... and wouldn't you know they stoped peeping.
I swore I heard it, and kept my ear to the bator and called him again once they started again... and still they are quiet for him. I swear he thinks I have lost my mind and now I am hearing things. LOL
