We're on day 19 here and I can see one egg moving. My thermometer was on top of it and two others. I can't really see the thermometer now b/c it's fallen down due to the chick's movement inside the egg.

Can I quickly open the lid and replace the thermometer in a viewable position, or just tough it out??

Way to go guys! your chickies are lookin good! And sending good hatching vibes to those who still have eggs in the bator!

I have 3 more that have pipped and 2 with nothing yet. Here's some pics...

So friggen cute...they're cuddling together. Hard to tell whick head belongs to which cause they almost look like twins, lol.

The one on the left is a bit darker at the base of it's head, that's the only way I can tell the difference between the two.

Day 17!...I think....
Cleaned the crate where momma is staying to get ready for the babies when they come this week. I picked up an egg, and I could feel movement inside? is this normal?
So much poo and the products of egg eating disaster on day 3 i couldn't see any pips on the eggs, so not sure when the babies are coming.
Too bad they don't make a jumping up and down in excitement or a twiddling fingers smiley. I'll substitute...

I started with 6 BCM eggs (due to hatch Feb. 23), using an LG 9200 still air incubator (touchy, but I've been able to keep temps right around 100 F and humidity between 40-45 percent).

One egg never made it to the 'bator. There was a hairline crack in it that I had to feel before I actually saw it. Another egg developed an internal crack on day three that became external on day 6, but it turned out not to be fertile. Yesterday, I had to remove another egg that began seeping albumen (the white) through a couple dozen points on the egg shell. That egg was fertile, but it was obvious the embryo had died a couple days beforehand. The weird part is that all three eggs were laid on Jan. 28.

The other three eggs, which were laid Jan. 27, all have visible shadows and proper air cell growth. So they're still okay- so far.

I hope I at least have one make it. I'll be disheartened if none of them hatch. Of course that means I'll just have to try again!
