i think I just ruined my hatch.

Everything was going great, but I transfer my first 7 eggs to an LG right at lockdown yesterday. I warmed it up for 30 hours and the temp was stable for the first 6 hours they were in there. I went to bed and didn't check on them until 8am. I have the flu, and the last thing I needed to see was that the temp was 95 degrees. Sigh. At the most, it could have been like that for 8 hours overnight. It's now climbing slowly back up to 101.

Do I even have a chance at this point??

Don't give up, I agree. You just never know.

Today is Day 20 for six eggs, Delawares plus one Del/Lt Brahma cross. No pips yet. Have to go run errands and hope they'll be pipping when we get back later today.

Awww...those baby ducks are the cutest thing ever I think I will put some in my bator this spring!

The eggs would have stayed warmer for longer than the incubator, so probably a lot less hours at that temp.

Well I have two dry and in the brooder. Had to take them out before they were dry because they kept getting wet from the cloths and things I put in there to keep it humid. They dried off well and didn't even need help finding the food. They just went at it. I showed them where the water was because they seemed thirsty and were panting. I have one who is working on zipping and another that pipped hours ago and I have seen no movement. If those two hatch, that'll be 4/8. I hope more hatch.
