I have 6 eggs under a broody, that should be hatching tomorrow. When I checked earlier this afternoon, there were no pips or anything. I sure hope they hatch ok.

So I got three new Barnevelders out of 14 eggs, that were shipped in freezing cold weather. I totally trust the breeder. Her packaging was outstanding.
I am very happy with them. They were hatched last Thursday.
As you guys all know, shipped eggs are always an iffy proposition, so any live hatches are a big bonus!
Grats to you all!
How many chicks are we up to for February?

The last chick, reminds be alot of my 'lil Cora when she was a chick. What is that one? Are the other's Buff Orpington mixes?

2 yellow ones are GSL hen x 'OE' roo
Black one is all 'OE'
the little bantam cross is 'OE' roo x silver sebright hen

What are you going to do w/ these? Do you already have someone lined out to buy them?

I have 1 Serama in the 'bator, it's pecking and peeping...but I had to make an air hole so he could breathe..I hope he hatches tonight!!

The 3 babies in the brooder are sooooo cute! They're so sweet too. They just beg for attention!

I have a waiting list for the chicks, so when these hatch out someone will buy how many they want. I am hoping to get to keep at least 4-5...all females if I am lucky....I do want to keep the black one and the bantam cross, so they might get hid when someone comes over to buy...lol

Day 22 and two babies in the brooder and two drying off in the incubator. I hope that I get a few more but it's probably not hopeful at this point is it?

It is day 9 and my bator went down to 76-78:duc. I think I caught it pretty quick and brought it back up but now I am all worried. Did this similar situation ever happen to anyone else and if so what was the outcome. This is our first time hatching eggs and I was so excited. Everything was going great...
