What is with these eggs? I'm pretty sure staring at mine isn't helping....yet I can't stop!!!! It's over half-way through Day 20 here (ends at 6pm), and there is nothing. Nada.

I went outside for hours and my DH and myself built a foundation for a new coop, came in and one more is pipped...out of six....at the end of Day 21. Bad chickies, making me wait!

Our hatch is finished. Came out with 14 Ancona ducklings total. 6 chocolates, 6 blacks, and one white with a black spot on it's toe (it's kinda "wobbly", but fighting very hard to be normal. Not really sure what's wrong with it.)

okay.

Apparently staring intently at your only lonely pipped egg does NOT, in fact, make it burst our spontaneously.

Total bummer, 'cause I am dying of curiosity! I can see a tiny beak and even a single black feather poof. Cheeping, too!

Yeah I tried the staring method as well.
I have 2 pips out of six so far since my last hatch did well im hoping 5-6 hatch.Staggered hatches can be fun.
I have a hen that lays a very porous eggs and one made it to lock down, thats the only one im worried won't hatch.

2 chicks out and 2 more pips! (out of 7)

This so exciting! It's almost like childbirth..I am temporarily oblivious to how horrible it has been for 21 days with my stress level. LOL

Well, we have 6/8 but I'm not sure one little guy is going to make it. He pipped the wrong direction and there was no movement for hours and hours. My husband finally decided he couldn't stand it (good thing he hasn't been here the past few days, he'd have gone crazy) and tried to help him. He is out of his egg now but has some membrane and bits of egg stuck to him. He is getting stronger, chirps are getting louder (he wasn't chirping anymore by the time DH decided to help) and he's opening his eyes and trying to move around.. So I am not sure at this point. The last two eggs are duds. I know because when I candled the last time there was an unfertilized one and one with a blood ring. I'm amazed at the good hatch rate we've had. 4 girls, 1 boy and 1 I am not sure about yet!
