Congrats. I go into lockdown tomorrow evening and am soooo excited for a chick:)

Heres the deal! I live in a drafty house so I put the bator in my bathroom with a oil heater in the room to keep the room warm. Well... the heater died, the bathroom is cold, and my bator went down to 94 -95 For approx 1 hr at most. Lockdown is tomorrow evening. Does anyone know of this happening before? and what were the results? I am worried that i killed possible 19 eegs:hit

I had mine go down to 92 for like 6 hours several nights this past month with the cold weather. I am still at at 80+% rate...Wait it out and see what happens...I also put a heavy blanket around mine to keep in the warmth at night.

Thank you for the reply. To control the temp during the winter for 21 days is harder then I thought:rolleyes:. It has snowed here for 2 days making it much colder then usual.

I just had twenty out of four hundred hatch today ( put them in so I can get twenty a dayish) so far we are at a 100 percent hatch rate.
Good hatchrite incubator will hatch anything.

10/21 have hatched, almost all the rest are pipped. Last one to hatch went from nothing to zipped in 5 minutes, and hatched 10 mins later! It's blue in yellow, but the parents are a Dark cornish hen and a red/buff/white mixed rooster.
