february hatch along

This is what I have going. The dark egg look to be a quitter. But the other 11 eggs seem strong. They're barnyard mixes. I'm most excited about the white eggs from California white hens. The seller let me pick from everything she'd collected over 2-3 days. I wish now of taken all the white eggs and not so many brown ones. Oh well.

I realized a few days ago we'll be out of town day 18-20. I'll lock them down before we leave. But it'll definitely be a hand off hatching!

I set 12 barnyard mix duck and 3 mix turkey eggs on Wednesday Jan 31st and plan to add 25 barnyard mix Dark Brown eggs this upcoming Wednesday so that they hatch on the same day.
The duck eggs are for me from my own flock, magpies, khaki and runner covered by a magpie and khaki drake so this should be exciting! also my first time with duck eggs in the bator.
I am running a Brinsea Ovation 56ex with the humidity pump, so far the temp has been right on and my last several hatches have gone well.

UT, one time I was hatching and was out of town 5 days towards the end of the hatch, I think they were 2 days out of the egg by the time we got home. it was fine.

egg hatch". Your post from a few days ago was the first result. Sorry you got heckled. I hope something hatches for you.

Good to know you've had success! I edited my other post. We'll be gone day 18-20. Not 17-19 like i originally posted. I expect some progress when we get back if not fully hatched chicks.

We got back and one chick was zipped but stuck, I got to save it and it was grateful!

those chickens are very pretty are those red chickens rhode island reds

Thanks no the reds are ISA brown hens great layer!

I want to try some if those. Because I read they're great layers and small sized (better food conversation). Would you say they're smaller than other hens?
