I usually do 65-70%. I think that's the range typically recommended.

so it is lock down and i candled my eggs and i added water but the humidity reader that came with the incubator and i know poeple say to not trust those but my last hatch did really good with using that one so know i put water in for lock down and when i put the water in the humidity said 51 well its been about a hour and it still says 51 what do i do do i go to tsc and get a new reader so i can see what the humidity is thanks and good luck with your hatch

Sorry, I forgot which incubator? How much water did you add? Does it have channels, how many did you fill? Buying another hygrometer is not a bad idea, but if you have good surface area of water, and you had a good hatch last time, maybe give it a little more time to settle in.

It's day 14, I candled my eggs this morning. I set 10 eggs to start with, one wasn't fertile, so it has been removed. The other nine are developing! All I can see inside the Olive Eggs is the air cell and maybe an 1/8th of an inch lower and I see good veins. Those dark eggs are always such a mystery!

I set 27 BA eggs and 15 blue EE eggs on February 20 from my own flock in my 1588, my first hatch this year, hoping for a good hatch!!!

it is day 19 and there are no pips i heard some tapping so i think there might be a internal pip i checked the humidity this morining and it was a 55 i put more water and know its at 63 is this ok
