February/St. Patty's Day Gift Swap

How depressing. My boys are 2 and 5 and still want to sit in my lap. My step sons are 14 and 19 and tease me all the time "yep they will be going of to college soon...." and you know that day WILL be here before I know it. My mother always told me you never realize how fast time flies until you have kids. It is so true.

I remember being told this too. It is the truth! It breaks my heart to think mine will be leaving my home for college in 2 years

I have the best of both worlds! If you want to call it that. My beautiful 4 yo daughter who still innocently beleives in the Easter Bunny but is trying to be like my 15 yo stepson. His bangs are so long you cant even see most of his nose, much less his eyes and he dyes it black every other month. He's a 5' 10" toothpick who likes to wear jeans that look like they were painted on and probably listens to the same or similar as your daughter, chickenchick.

Oh I feel your pain too! Mine has black hair and is begging to dye it red, not my hair color red, fire engine red! Apparently one of his fav bands has a lead singer with long red hair. I don't care if he dyes it but my husband is too worried about what his parents would say. I mean come on, they let him have a mullet for goodness sake

He also wants the "skinny" jeans you speak of. Again I don't care but.....Just you watch, when he does go away to college he will come back with red hair and skinny jeans. have you seen the movie Son IN Law? He will be like their daughter!!

Yes, I'm sure he does listen to the same music. Loudly, from an i-pod. And my daughter would love hers dyed black but so far I've managed to convince her not to.

The SS wants to put red or blonde in his and his mom AND dad have given him the OK. If he pays for it. I said, well its out of my hands but don't ask me to take you anywhere with me. I'll drop you off somewhere but don't think you will walk around in public with me, looking like that. I'm a little bit on the conservative side of things

Fashion is never something I have every worried about. Do I look to look nice when need be? Of coarse, but my everyday is jeans and a tee shirt either long or short sleeved depending on the weather.
