FEED COST PER STATE

Do washington people just LIKE to pay an arm and a leg for feed?!?! Or want organic :th I wouldn't dare pay that much!

Well I only buy organic feed so that's part of it. And high feed cost translates to high egg prices, hence why I'm paying $8 a dozen during the winter. I've seen prices as high as $10 a dozen.

San Francisco Bay Are - organic pasture raised eggs $8-10, free range $5-7
organic layer pellets $28 for 40lbs
organic scratch and peck $35 for 40lbs

South East Kansas. Avg. $2.00 a dozen
Farmers Tax exempt feed. layer pellets/crumbles $14-16.00 per 50 lb bag.
Doesn't make any money but does help pay on the feed bill.

No tax on livestock feed In Mississippi either
Eggs here go for $1.50 - $3.00/doz. I charge $2.50 and am always sold out.
Feed is $12-$15 for layer or flock raiser

Wa state.
Wifes lake friends will pay up to $9dozen
Feed $14 $2 off if I buy on Thursdays local deal;)

Dont bother with "organic" still has pesticides just supposedly "organic pesticides" that haven't had long term testing on effects to humans and animals. Marketing scam in my opinion.
