FEED COST PER STATE

hmm... how many chickens are you planning on? I would think if you were starting an egg farm you could buy feed in larger quantities than 50lb bags and it would save you considerable expense. Who do you plan to sell to? If you sell direct to consumer price will be different than if you sell to someone wholesale who will then want to sell them on to someone else (restaurants, grocery stores, etc.) This is a loaded question ;)

Colorado
If I sell eggs direct to customer I sell for $5/dozen
I feed all flock feed which generally runs $17/50lbs depending which brand I get

Do washington people just LIKE to pay an arm and a leg for feed?!?! Or want organic :th I wouldn't dare pay that much!

I don’t sell my eggs but local farms and driveway stands sell from $3-$5 per dozen. I could maybe get $5 or $6 with my blue eggs.
50lb bags sell for $15 to $20.
