I will admit that I haven't read every single post on all 14 pages, but I will say that as far as the "Like" button, I like this set-up for a few simple reasons....it allows for the poster to receive recognition of being noticed and welcomed into a conversation and not left standing in a corner without any response to them even being there. Whether ya totally agree with their actual statement or not, ya can appreciate their response. There is nothing worse than for a poster to feel leftout and of no value than to be at least acknowledged. However, I also understand the desire to reward more pertenent responses to an ongoing conversation. It seems that maybe the answer would be for there to be an "Ovation or Star" that could be added as a higher form of approval to be given for a valued posting. This would not leave new members out in the cold and the feeling of being ignored, and also provide a more valued mark for those that prefer that special notoriety of an extremly exceptional post. If tho, there is only 1 option, then it should remain as the present system is used.....that is how I see the issue....:)
