Feeding bugs

You need moisture, carbon rich material, nitrogen rich material and oxygen all together. A little mixing helps.

Thank you! I must admit I am rather oblivious and didn't realize you had to manage it. I thought you just kinda threw it in a pile. Whoops...

It started as throwing all the dirty pine shavings in a pile then I've been adding fruits and veggies and stuff on top and more shavings

Nice, I knew you could buy freeze-dried mealworms but have never bought live ones. I'll have to check into that.

I go out with my butterfly net, sweeping it across the grass in front of me. Last year we were overwhelmed with grasshoppers and I could easily catch well over a hundred in my net in just a few seconds. Then I take the net over to the birds and empty it out. It *is* fun to watch them catch the grasshoppers. Did not stop the grasshoppers from destroying parts of my garden but was strangely satisfying.

I found it last year when i was considering getting reptile but never did or ordered haha I got mine from Rainbow Mealworms and they're excellent! The prices are pretty reasonable too, especially for the quality.

And wow, I'll have to try that next summer! Haha

Nicely packaged too imo and the box has plenty of large holes for them
