could I feed my chicken fresh fish, and what about drying fish and make it like and a powder.
Personally, I'd be afraid to feed them raw fish. Fish cook so very quickly and easily though, if I wanted to give them fish, I'd just put on a pot and boil it a couple minutes first. Fish start to deteriorate so quickly is the problem, unless cooked.
All fish has worms whether that will translate to problems for chickens I do not know. Fish cooks quick so I would throw it in the oven. Would not however give them too much as you will end up with fishy tasting eggs.
Raw salmon from the Pacific Northwest can kill dogs. I don't know the effect on chickens, but I wouldn't risk it.
Salmon I would freeze for three weeks. All others I'd feel safe with if very fresh.
