Feeding crumble

At what age can I stop grinding crumble and start feeding it as is? I am talking about northern bob chicks.
@Crazy Cajun I'm sure there is a technical reply coming, but with my quail, I continue with turkey crumb all the time they are under heat. As soon as they are feathered up I introduce them to the flock, where they only have access to pellets. If this is your first venture into the joy of keeping quail, even if they turn their beaks up at first, when they are hungry they will eat whatever you give them. Northern bobs are very pretty.

Usually Bobwhite chicks are big enough to eat regular ground crumbles. I feed mine crumbles from day one until death, without 'crushing it' further. A balanced and complete gamebird ration of 24% protein is more than adequate for quail.
