I have 24 chicks and 2 poults. I was told they can be raised together, which they have been since 4/5/12. I have been feeding chick starter, which from reading some of the threads, the turkeys need more protein. They all go outside during the day in an open bottomed kennel, and I've been giving them mealworm treats, grapes and bugs daily, plus they're eating the grass and clovers. Should I still be feeding the turkeys a seperate feed? If so, can the chicks eat the higher protein feed or do I need to just feed them seperately?
