Is that a Mountain Ash?Starlings trying to stay warm in our tree today. Idk what kind of berries those are, but they were eating them.![]()
You know, I looked that up and it appears to be. This is the first time I’ve ever seen birds eat the berries, though. Is that a Mountain Ash?
If it is a Mountain Ash, you can eat the berries too.You know, I looked that up and it appears to be. This is the first time I’ve ever seen birds eat the berries, though.
Glad I picked up seed before the storm. Has to be 50-60 Juncos having a party. Cardinals, Black Capped Chickadees, Titmouse, Doves and Woodpeckers. Smeared some peanut butter on the maple. It's a mad house out there. Nine inches of snow with an inch of frozen sleet and rain makes it tough for the birds to forage on the ground.Birds are feeding feverishly during the snow. Seems to be an especially large amount of Juncos this year.
Oh don’t tell me that! Now my neighbors are going to watch me fall off a ladder trying to pick those. Do they taste good?If it is a Mountain Ash, you can eat the berries too.
Bitter until frosted a few timesOh don’t tell me that! Now my neighbors are going to watch me fall off a ladder trying to pick those. Do they taste good?
Never tried any. All the Mountain Ashes I tried to grow here did not survive.Oh don’t tell me that! Now my neighbors are going to watch me fall off a ladder trying to pick those. Do they taste good?
