They still haven't shown up at the club feeders. Maybe today?

The duck couple has been coming daily at dusk until a couple days ago. Now it's just the male, and yesterday he brought a male friend! I think the female must be on a nest.

I put out extra seed about 5:30 hoping they will get it. The pigeons never come here that late in the day, only a few doves, so the ducks are finding plenty of seed.

I have actually been contemplating buying duck food, but haven't mentioned that to DH yet.

Had a new visitor to the backyard last night. A young buck showed up looking for corn. His left rear hoof knuckles under causing him to walk with a significant limp. He appears to be in good health otherwise - first that I have seen him.
