They are such a joy to watch as they are such characters.

If you would like to read more about Mousebirds then I recommend this following webpage which has some unexpected and interesting information about this unique species, some of which I have quoted above.

Loved the photos and information of the Mousebirds. What an interesting flock. They look like I want to go smooth down the feathers on their heads. lol Nice that you feed them fruit in the winter.

Thats a lot of awesome pics and info on the mousebird.

Beautiful photos and great information Gill,

Loved the photos and information of the Mousebirds.

Such cute birds.

Love the mousebirds! I had the pleasure of feeding whitebacked mousebirds at an aviary recently.

Mousebirds are mostly easy going birds and tolerate the presence of humans more than most garden birds do. They are easily tamed too, but they are messy eaters and poopers so I personally would not want one as a pet in the house.

The new turkey hen came in early this morning. She has at least 7 and perhaps as many as 9 quail sized poults - I was unable to get an accurate count. Original hens and poults arrived and after a lot of fanning and some flogging the new hen and poults left. Wonder how long until they will be accepted.
