Female pigeon attacking male after egg hatches

Usually the will care and rear the chicks, I've never experienced this with mine. The female may just be a bit more protective than usual. Just watch her behavior .
She is an amazing mother she is keeping him warm and has already fed him, shes just extremely protective, so I'm not worried about the baby not being taken care of I just would love for them to be a happy family because my male was obsessing over the eggs every second so I think he would take just as good care of them as she is now.

I've never seen this behavior. As long as the male is not being aggressive and is able to get away from her, I would not separate them. Both parents will produce crop milk to feed the squabs, and it will take both to effectively do so. They may need a larger cage to make her feel comfortable.
I was thinking about a bigger a cage, hes not being aggressive but when she chased him he did start to fight back and she wont let him near the baby he went and peaked his head in and she bit his feathers trying to get him out. She hasnt come out of the nest once, the only time she came out was to chase the male away. She never cared that he sat on the eggs and he obsessed over those eggs, I just think it's strange shes suddenly aggressive she was always extremely submissive to him, I understand the urge to protect the babies but from the father when they raise babies together is strange.

She actually just walked out of the nest to eat and drink but you can tell she is very paranoid about leaving the baby alone, she kept stepping back each step like she was think about just going back to the baby instead of eating, he seems to be respecting her space but he is curious

Yes there's one more

I wonder if maybe she is trying to hog the hatching duty? I didn’t observe mine much between eggs, so just a random guess. I’m new to pigeons, these other guys have much more experience than I do, so it’s odd that they’ve never seen the behavior. Very interesting!

How are things today?

And congrats on the new squab(s)!!

Perhaps on 'hogging the hatching duty'. I did have one hen who would not allow the cock to help with the incubation. She did allow him to help with the feeding. With animals there is always something to learn if we keep our minds and eyes open.
