Female Rouen Duck?

Hi All!

I am really sure my Rouen is a female, however, the last two mornings she had been mounting the other ducks and act as if she is mating. I am thinking this is a sign of domanace? They are 18 weeks, no curley looking tail. And no green at all on her head. Could you tell me what you think her behavior is and that she does look like a female?

I agree you duck appears female... my male Rouen is already changing bill and feather colors at 8 weeks.

You are probably right about it being a dominance display. I didn't realize ducks were as rotten as chickens! Little buggers.

Not Dominance at all....Its sexual behaviour and all Ducks mount each other wether a Drake or Hen....Maturing..Ducks are sexual....

Don't feel bad. I have a drake for my 4 girls, and they still like to mount each other. It is so weird, but totally normal
