Female runner duck has a vent prolapse, need some advice please!

Can you post a picture of the prolapse?

Icing sugar not sure how different is it from reg sugar.

We cleaned the area, not too much is hanging out and pushed it back in with coconut oil and then some icing or powdered sugar. It stays in for a bit then starts to come back out so we’ve put her in a dark box and will do the same tomorrow. If that fails we will go to a vet but it feels promising. Thanks for all your advice and help

I wasn’t able to get a picture as I held her whilst my mum did the cleaning and pushing back in but if it’s the same tomorrow I’ll post a picture then

Hopefully it will stay in I’d check before tomorrow you don’t want the tissue to dry out,also be sure she has food and water.

You can use honey also, and honey is antibacterial. I don't know for sure, but I don't think icing sugar would work as well. If you don't have any of the above suggestions, hydrocortisone cream is another option.

Would this be advised for a duckling as well? Less than week old.
