feral pigeons

something kinda interesting I saw about feral pigeons. Apparently some people showed them at the NPA Grand National in San Deigo in January. I've shown pigeons since I was 12 and have never even heard of people showing them. I've known people that have kept them as pets and as pumpers but not to show.

what would be the standard for a feral, and do they factor strays into them as well, or would that disqualify? do they have to be tame/raised, or do people just bring wild ones as well? heck mine are fancy pigeons and i cant tame them. now that theyve started being let out, going completely wild very quickly. down to one from four currently.

Sounds like a "feather moth". Do a search to see if that is what it was. Poultry dust will get rid of them.

PSEUDOLYNCHIA CANARIENSIS (pigeon fly) done some research and this is what I found, yes they are dangerous and suck blood out of birds. sprays are the first line of defense from blood sucking parasites,
and Ivermectin/Moxidectin are the second line of defense in that IF they
get past the spray, they will die from taking that bite and be undable to
lay eggs.

I got a couple buddy's that have a few feral pigeons in there barn and they just shoot them so I asked if I could try to trap them and they don't mind so I was wondering if anyone else here has trapped feral pigeons and if so how? I know you can buy different one's offline but if there any home made traps or do you guys have any ideas? I have an extra coop/pen empty so I was thinking about raising some pigeons. I appreciate any info
