feral pigeons

PSEUDOLYNCHIA CANARIENSIS (pigeon fly) done some research and this is what I found, yes they are dangerous and suck blood out of birds. sprays are the first line of defense from blood sucking parasites,
and Ivermectin/Moxidectin are the second line of defense in that IF they
get past the spray, they will die from taking that bite and be undable to
lay eggs.

Pigeon fly... they don't lay eggs... they actually give birth to live larva.

Best way to get rid of them is simply hold you pigeon and wait till you see it.. then pinch it to catch it and pull it off .. kill it!!! No need for chemicals... and I found that normal sprays and powders for pests don't work for the pigeon fly.

I started out with feral pigeons also. My favourte and one of my best birds was a feral (He looked like full blooded racing homer),

This is what the bird accomplished after being kept prisoner for nearly a year. This pigeon was mated and had raised numerous clutches of eggs in that time. It was a happy reunion when he came home to his original mate (I later sold the pigeon again when I gave up the hobby):

Depends on what mix is in your ferals.. they can be fun to breed matching n mixing to see what traits turn out. some tumble to roll n or to barrel roll twistle flit etc n or do as n or dive, some home good, some sound off louder attracting others, some have stamina and can fly longer than others.
If not expecting anything awsome particularly, you maybe greatly pleased at what may come out of some, but pet quality and taming then pet quality, as well as caring and flying, are rewarding enough. just delouse n deparasite load them etc them in a good solution etc.
