FERMENTED FEEDS...anyone using them?

I give fermented feed, but still keep reg chicken feed out,the reason for this is that while most of my birds love ff (especially my roosters)some of them do not,in particular my silkies they will eat a small amount but prefer reg crumbles.

They will all eat it if that is all that is all that is available. It just seems like you lose a lot of the benefit if you still offer the non-fermented in addition to fermented. It took a bout a month for all of mine to really go for it, but they were not offered anything else.

I do notice that throughout the day they eat a little at a time rather than gorging when I give it in the morning but lately its been freezing before they finish so I put only a little out then give them a little more later and that seems to be working.

No,unfortunately they will not,i have been giving ff to them long enough to realize that not all birds like the taste. Rather than risk starvation,i always have reg feed out as an option to those that prefer it.
