I give fermented feed,but still keep reg chicken feed out,the reason for this is that while most of my birds love ff (especially my roosters)some of them do not,in particular my silkies they will eat a small amount but prefer reg crumbles.

No,unfortunately they will not,i have been giving ff to them long enough to realize that not all birds like the taste. Rather than risk starvation,i always have reg feed out as an option to those that prefer it.They will all eat it if that is all that is all that is available. It just seems like you lose a lot of the benefit if you still offer the non-fermented in addition to fermented. It took a bout a month for all of mine to really go for it, but they were not offered anything else.

Mine will eat it,but they do not care for ff,this is why i keep reg feed out also. I would never force any animal to eat something they did not like,my birds have the choice of either ff or crumbles.One of my silkies eating ff.......![]()
