Fermented Feeds

good morning!
I was meaning to ask if there was to much water on the top? It hasn't soaked all in yet.

I thought I had read that somewhere in the many posts about FF. I just gave the chicks the first feeding of it. They were not sure at first, but are venturing towards it now. They love a scrambled egg in the morning, so this is something else new for their menu

. Going to take some FF out to the big birds here in a bit and see how it goes.

your welcome.I am very new to fermenting my feed but there is a lady on BYC(aka...mumsy) who is very knowledgeable.I first spoke with her on the silkie thread,however I just stumbled on another thread(natural chicken keeping thread) which is interesting,and she is also there. If you really want to learn more I would check it out. There are also others that can be very helpful.I'm also just learning about the deep litter method for my coops.(just something else I found very interesting) Have a great day!
