Yes to each there own, but I will bet anyone that none are healthier then mine. Beautiful shiny feathers wich oats are excellent for and nice red heads. I’ve had Chickens over 35 yrs am 58 and I’ve learned from old timers that knew what most here never even heard of.

Might also depend on the quality of oats you can get. Here it would almost always have some blackish spots of mould.

No need as I am myself an advocate of feeding oats because of their overall health benefits, but in my case I feed oatmeal.

I ferment oats along with scratch grains and my chickens love them

We do the same and use whole corn to grow flats of sprouts for them.
