Fermenting Feed for Meat Birds

Based on the knowledge I've gotten off you, I'd pay full price for an eBook, between $6.99 and $9.99. However, if you want to start with a broad overview like that, I would say $2.99 for the first book and maybe $5.99 for each additional volume. If you get turkey hooked the first time, the subsequent prices won't matter.

I'll try to think up a name. I'm assuming it'll have some religious overtones to it? PolyFace Farms has very religious overtones and they are doing phenominal!

I'd want it in a book form...I'm not much on all this technology and find it sadly lacking when one is reading. I like to feel a book, look at it, leaf through it, mark the pages, highlight things, show it to other people, loan it out and store it on my bookshelf. Tuck it in my pocket or tuck it into a crevice in the shed or coop for quick reference...that's the kind of book I want it to be. Tough, small, easy to carry and easy to reference. I want to see dog-eared copies of it in used book bins, libraries and at yard sales, looking ragged and well read.

Been thinking about that....trying to keep the information down to a basic handbook as a volume one and then get into some details in a second volume.  Barebones and basic, straight to the point with easy to follow instructions, if there is such a thing, in the first book.

Yesss!!!!!!!!!! lol

Old school book lover here too!

That's one....  :D   What do you guys want to call it?  How much would you charge if it were your book...keeping in mind that we want it to be affordable but not giving it away...can't make money for missions if ya don't charge something!

I know a hard working missionary outfit that could use a good donation! :) (wink wink) Oh oh oh, they have a school of evangelism that really could use a donatiion for books! They are training others to spread the Word even further! They are also wanting to start a sewing program for poor women. It started as one small program and now has about 14 areas of ministry.

I think it would be worth just as much as Story's Guide. No doubt I would buy a copy or two.

That book is for folks who don't know any better....I would hope that mine would be for folks who are a little more serious about chickens than that.

Oh Bee I really think you can do that! That would be AWESOME!!!

I think for barebones basics in a two volume set you could charge something like 5.99 each...keeping in mind everyone will likely hug both ormore volumes.... That would make you some money for missions. You should definately include a statement indicating proceeds benefit missionaries. You could do a poll on titles on byc and give a free copy or download to the winneer. Here are my ideas : better chicken husbandry -timeproven techniques and practices for the best flocks. Or, basic chicken sense for the thriving small flock -a laymen's guide to fermented feed, deep litter and free ranging.
and why and when to cull.
