Fertile Eggs in Winter?

I’ll leave them for a bit, because we’ve got a warm spell for a while (50’s) and she seems to enjoy just being near them. If it gets colder, we’ll make an incubator and take out the eggs! I just hope they hatch! :fl
always worth a try! I got a nice (but older) incubator at a thrift store in a huge pinch one time. Call around! Somewhere might have one if you're feeling lucky!

So I have10 ducks, 8 pekin, 1 rouen and 1 Indian runner. The females had 3 seperate nests this summer and we left them go to see if any would be broody but they never were. So once the weather started to get freezing/snowing we threw away the eggs in their nests. Not even exaggerating that next day in their pen we had 3 eggs, and have had 2-3 eggs since. This week alone I have gotten 18 eggs. I am given them away because we can't use that many that fast. My question is, is this normal?? I am only a 2nd year duck momma and my first group of ducklings we only had one female, and she never layed eggs in the winter.
Probably so if first year layers, My Runners and Buffs started laying around 4 months of age and laid consistently for 18months straight before they took a break. Then they rested for about a month and started back. Now at 2and a half yrs I am still getting anywhere from 2-4 eggs a day so they have cut back some. Just make sure to keep out oyster shell for them along with the best feed you can buy so their little bodies stay up with their egg laying mechanisms.

Thank you I buy the Purina Layena Pellets that has oyster shell in it. Per hen I am just getting 1 egg per day. Also random question... I noticed that I am getting one greenish/blue egg per day and we have an Indian runner but are pretty sure it is a male, can a pekin whom had mated with a runner lay greenish eggs??
