Fertile Store bought eggs?

Well she just went to the store to buy new eggs. She will get any eggs she can ly her hands on,fertile or not.:)And she ate the fertilized egg.She said it was good.So maybe she'll get a whole box of fertile eggs:D

OK.. the answer should have been obvioulsy.. when mom ate the fertilized egg, you/she should have see the veins on the inside of the shell if that was the tree/branches you saw.. IF there was nothing in the shell and nothing funky in the egg after 7 days then you probably didn't have a chick to start with becuz you would have seen a developing chick.. BUT HEY>> good luck on the new eggs.. Hopefully mom will be on board with you.. However. before you go hatching a bunch of chicks.. You should have a plan of how you are going to house them or who's gonna take them.. Cuz you can't have them in your bedroom forever.. they do get stinky..

I didn't see her eat the egg.The egg had never been incubated,so she wouldn't see veins.

Well I candled the eggs from the new box-Also eggland's best-And four eggs show signs of fertility.

Fluffycolor Im not too far from you, 12 miles maybe. When my hens start laying eggs. I'll give you some. Maybe your dad will love fresh eggs. Could lead to something good.

I have too many roos! My oldest 2 hens Australorps are 21 weeks old, should be laying soon. My Buff Orps and EEs pullets and roos are 17 weeks. There will be fertile eggs.

You cannot test an eggs fertility by candling it.. The only ways you can tell it is fertile is to either crack it open and look for the "donut" OR incubate it and wait til you see veining around day 4...

You're still setting them? Not sure I understand. You are saying you incubated eggs from an Eggland's Best carton and candled them after a few daysor do you mean you are candling fresh eggs (that are not incubated )from the carton and they are fertile? Clarify, please.
