Here's the ducklings.

My husband woke me up a half hour ago (normally I'd be mad at being woke up at 5 a.m....lol) to tell me that 2 of the chicks were really close to hatching. I came down to sit and watch and sure enough, they popped out in about 10 minutes. We have a Welsummer, and a Buff Orpington, and 6 others that have pipped. The remaining eggs haven't pipped yet, but this is only the end of day 20. I'll post pics of the chicks after they have fluffed up. They really are pretty ugly just coming out of the egg.

4 chicks out and a 5th is zipping! Too bad I have to leave for work now. I want to stay home and watch them hatch out!

We are up to 5 babies out of 9 now on day 21 There are two BO one ameraucana and two barnyard mixes. They are super cute and we still have 4 more eggs to go. I have pictures of them but my husband has the cords to upload them to the computer so I am waiting for him to get back with my car. Hopefully the other 4 will hatch soon.

So out of 12 2 were infertile 10 fertile. One quite early one and 5 hatches so so far that is a 50% hatch rate. Can't wait to see if others hatch too.
