Finally caught it on camera!

A bob cat got half of my small flock. I would not relocate it cause your just giving someone else the problem. I called fish and game. They never even showed up. They have since moved on but when they come back in early winter I will SSS.

We have been in contact with a game warden. It is legal to shoot them where we are, which is East Texas, if they are being a nuisance (which it is). Game warden advised against trapping and relocating. So hopefully this weekend we can get it. And yes mounting the thimg is on the agenda when he shoots it!

Is is sure pretty. But it's being a pest and you don't want that thing in your yard. So I must agree, shoot it.

Good luck.

Yes it is pretty and trust me we only shoot animals when its legal and necessary. My dad has a bobcat that roams one of his pastures that we just leave alone bc it isn't hurting anything, but we have lost about 60% of our flock to this animal so it has got to go.

What part of the country do you live? We don't have bobcats here yet, however I heard of Fishers in the northern protion of our state.

I live in Western Mass and we have both here. Sightings are pretty rare but they are here. We have mountain lions too.

Well, if the in-laws are insisting that you trap and relocate it, you can always trap it, remove it from the premesis, and then "relocate it" 3' underground somewhere. If they don't ask, you don't have to tell.
