Such a beautiful egg! I tend not to catch too many threads during the week as I’m busy with work, but better late than never Still waiting on our Ameraucana and Marans pullets to begin laying, but our Faverolles from a May hatch are just starting

How eggciting I think most of mine will start laying when the days get longer again - I can tell they’re close! What colour eggs is your second girl laying?

Now we wait to see what the last girl will lay. It’s very exciting. Sometimes I take them out and just look at them. I still get in awe like, wow, my chickens did that lol #proudmommoment

Our EE will be 30 weeks on Sunday and we FINALLY got our first egg today.
My husband let the birds out this morning and I went to run errands so I didn’t check in on them until this afternoon. I was n scooping out the poop board and I glanced at the nest boxes (like I always do!) expecting to see nothing but the straw was all dug out and I saw a little green egg!!! I launched out of the coop and ran into my mother in laws kitchen (we live right next door) and screamed I got my first egg lol I didn’t even stop to look at it before I was so excited. So she came out and was with for the opening of the nest box.
I don’t know which girl laid it for sure ,but I suspect Roberta. Her vent looks a little suspicious! But whoever laid it I am so proud!!!

We just got our first egg 2 days ago, and it looks so much like yours. The only difference is that ours has white speckles on more of the egg. What kind of chicken laid yours? Ours, we believe, is from a Golden Sex Link. Though we discovered today that our Rhode Island Red may be laying too. We didn't get any yesterday, but we got 2 today.

We just got our first egg 2 days ago, and it looks so much like yours. The only difference is that ours has white speckles on more of the egg. What kind of chicken laid yours? Ours, we believe, is from a Golden Sex Link. Though we discovered today that our Rhode Island Red may be laying too. We didn't get any yesterday, but we got 2 today.
