Well, there are quite a few people who do keep them as housepets, but I think they really prefer being outside. They are actually as easy or easier to housebreak than dogs.
However, my 2 females were "housepets" in 2 different households, and neither was working out. I would not have one as a housepet if you have either children or dogs in the house.​
