It says in the directions "Measure the 1-1/4 cups of milk in a 2 cup measuring cup….then add enough vegetable oil to bring the liquid up to 1-1/3 cups."

You’re very welcome; I'm so glad you liked it.

Don't you just love it when you can cross off one more item from your grocery list?

Hershey's Baking Cocoa (the unsweetened kind) has an AWESOME chocolate icing recipe on the back of the box. I use it on my brownies.

"Perfectly Chocolate" Chocolate Frosting

1 stick butter or margarine
2/3 c. Hershey's cocoa
3 c. powdered sugar
1/3 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract

*Melt butter, stir in cocoa.
*Alternately add powdered sugar and milk, beating on medium speed to spreading consistency. Add more milk if needed, stir in vanilla.
*Makes approx. 2 cups

I am ALWAYS looking for new cake recipes, and this is fabulous. I have never found a good yellow cake recipe.

Thanks for sharing!

I don't have 3 round pans, only 2. Can this recipe be made in another type of pan? A bundt maybe?? 13x9? I'm dying to try it because I recently made a yellow cake from scratch and it was pretty disappointing. Very blah....

After 30 years of trying, I swore off ever trying to make a yellow cake from scratch two months ago when I made my last tasteless rubber blob. I'll break my oath and try this recipe.

Thanks.
