Finally we have eggs, only one problem???

My 6 Bovan pulletts who are 23 weeks old this week finally graced us with our first eggs this morning . We got 4, two brown and 2 white??? I was told the my Pulletts were brown egglayers. What happened? The hens are brown. I know an egg is an egg but what gives. Any input?

I don't have pictures available right now but I'll post later. Tell me more about their ears. Are they an indicator as to the color of their eggs?? Please tell me more...When I purchased them I was told they were Bovan Goldline / Golden Sexlink Pulletts. I have gone on line and found pictures of this breed and they look exactly like my girls.

On the ear thing...

If they have white earlobes, it typically indicates they are a white egg layer.
