I found a page that said once the chicks are 5-6 weeks old you need to remove them to stop them disrupting the parents who will want to nest again. The parents may become aggressive towards them and chase them away from the nest site. You could remove the nest at that time instead and hope the parents don't decide to nest in a seed cup.
Millet is a great first food for babies to start eating as the seeds are easy to crack so provide millet sprays once the babies are out of the nest (about 3 weeks old). They'll soon be copying their parents and eating by themselves.
Hope Pikachu and Poot are back to looking after their eggs.

Yup, they're back on again. Yay!
I moved her out today to count the eggs and there was only 7. I looked on the floor and there it was, a little egg. I was especially worried because the three pinkish eggs were still there... I took it out, and checked it... It is cracked, but not a huge crack or a small crack. It has blood, veins, the whole egg is red, but no matter how hard I try, I can't seem to spot the moving body. It might be better because if she does hatch them she'll have less chicks to worry about, but what do you think I should do?
