Fire ants nest in chicken cage..

Hello, I live in Texas and we have some pretty nasty fire ants here with big mounts as well. I have used DE (diatomaceous earth) corn meal, gasoline, blow torch, boiling water by the gallons, ant poisons, baking soda, vinegar and borax! DE works pretty good as long as it doesn't rain within 48 after using it. But the product I would recommend as being THE best is pure orange oil, It sounds like you are going to need a lot of it for the size mound you have, I would probably buy a bottle and dump the whole thing on there. Orange oil works after about 20 min and they WON'T come back. Nothing else will work like that, everything else must be reapplied if you want to keep them gone. Good luck with them.
