First birthday today & she died

I've just recently learned that dried mealworms are banned from being fed to chickens here in the UK. It is because they are produced in China and raised on animal offal and there are concerns about the potential for disease transmission. I used to think they were a healthier option, now I'm not so sure and I have stopped recommending them. I don't mind feeding my chickens offal from a known source but don't want to imagine a commercial set up breeding mealworms on such a medium
