The feed store is dangerous! Went for shavings and saw they still had chicks outside (in 50f degree weather no heat) and a few were shivering. I couldn’t help myself and bought 6, including the two appearing sick shivering ones.
Good thing I did, one has bloody stool. Went to another local feed store and bought Corid. Will start treatment today! Is there any other helpful info for first time chick parent?
I own sheep so I’m not completely clueless when it comes to parasite treatment and care, but want to any possible additional info that have to do with potentially fragile chicks. I assume they’re 4-5 weeks old(?), they have feathers coming in on their wings / body.
Yellow chick has very bloody stool, one of the reddish chicks do too. Everyone else is normal so far.
