In the Brooder

The feed store is dangerous! Went for shavings and saw they still had chicks outside (in 50f degree weather no heat) and a few were shivering. I couldn’t help myself and bought 6, including the two appearing sick shivering ones.
Good thing I did, one has bloody stool. Went to another local feed store and bought Corid. Will start treatment today! Is there any other helpful info for first time chick parent?
I own sheep so I’m not completely clueless when it comes to parasite treatment and care, but want to any possible additional info that have to do with potentially fragile chicks. I assume they’re 4-5 weeks old(?), they have feathers coming in on their wings / body.
Yellow chick has very bloody stool, one of the reddish chicks do too. Everyone else is normal so far.

I would give each chick 3-4 drops of straight Corid to the corner of the beak and let it wick in for them to swallow in addition to the Corid water.
What are they standing on? They should have bedding in the brooder. Slippery surfaces are not good for their legs.
How much space do they have? They look cramped.
Also consider making them a baby bottle with a vertical poultry nipple and training them to it.

It helps tremendously with keeping the brooder dry and their water clean.

No worries, they aren’t cramped. They were huddled due to just arriving and skittish. They’re in a 2ft by 7ft area.
They have shavings now too, after monitoring their droppings and finding which had the bloody stool. They’re on medicated feed too. They’re all doing much better today! But thanks for that info

You're off to a good start, continue with the Corid treatment for the recommend time, rather be safe than sorry. They're lucky you happen into the feed store. What's the temp in their brooder? It's been said 95* at hatch, lowering the temp 5* each week. I use a regular light bulb (40 - 60 watt) with my Hubby's trouble light cone. Works great here in HI (6 - 8wks off heat) ... the heat lamps are too "strong" for our temps here. It clamps on the plastic bin I use as a 1 - 2wk brooder (in house for observation) then they go out to the brooder in the patio (3 x 8 x2). Have fun and enjoy, they do grow fast.

You may want to look into the Horizontal Water Nipples ... I love them, no shavings in the water. They need to be taught how to use it but it's bonding time.
