You are a good and dedicated chicken mama. You tried and gave her a chance and that’s all you can do. You did the right thing. Every time you cull, it gets easier in the sense you don’t hesitate but the emotional attachment is always hard. *hugs*

Thank you. That means a lot. I know it will get easier. I felt that within a few minutes. I did the right thing. And at least I know I can now.

Very sorry for your loss, but what you did was what chicken owners need to be able to do when they have a chicken who is suffering from a disease that cannot be cured. It is never an easy task, and I have tried several methods.

What methods have you tried/preferred. I plan on incubating some, so I would like to know your choice for when I process the inevitable roosters. I have a BIG young brahma now. Dont plan on him going anywhere. i would love to see the mixes.
