My EE is buff or buff lace color and once she had to be confined for limping she really calmed down and got friendly. She is Lil Buddy's girlfriend and its so cute. Love her mint eggs, she started two days shy of 25 weeks. Two of mine only squated after they laid eggs.

We were in Wally World and I had a dozen eggs we were taking to a friend, it was hot out so I took them in. A little girl was giving her mom heck in front of us in line and I showed her the green eggs and she thought that was *magic*. Not another peep out of her lol.

Tiny little pale brown egg! Half the size of a normal egg.

I think this is the proud MAMA! She seemed to be admiring her work when I walked over to the coop and found the egg.

Now to teach her to use the nesting boxes....

Where I have a golf ball, wooden eggs, and porcelain eggs for training tools...

Everyone keeps talking about them squatting. I figured up that it means they are preparing to lay soon. What should I look for? Is it a squat like a dog going poo? or a slight squat like when chickens go poo??

( sorry for all th e"poo" lol just only thing I cold think of as a comparison

I'd hate to see that hen. Poor girl.

No, not poo-like. They will hunker down, they will tuck their head, and the tops of their wings will go out.
