First Egg Countdown

16 weeks in and waiting impatiently. Hatched 5/6. A Brown Leg Horn, RIR, Ameracauna, Barred Rock. I also have a couple of Bantam Cochin unknown birthdate, and a 18 month Gold Lace Wyandotte that is laying 5 or 6 eggs a week.

I am concerned that I may have messed something up by switching to hen food too soon and allowing them to eat grass, fruits and veggies.

Yes I have 3 Silver Welsh Harlequins 1 Hen and 2 Drakes!! and thank you so much I love my babies!!

Found eggs in the bushes! 3 of them and are they so cute! (Bantams have a way with cute!)

Heading to the craft store to find some fake eggs... gotta try to keep them out of the bushes!!!

what age do your ducks start laying eggs? or have they yet??

They have been mating an AWFUL lot but they havent laid yet.. Thinking they dont want to lay when they live in the coop with the chickens.. Not sure if ducks are the same as chickens and go broody.. Im hoping she will sit on them and hatch them when she does start laying. I got them in April with my chickens from TSC
