First Egg! :D

I was on my usual routine feeding the chickens, when I went into the chicken coop I found a big surprise. An egg!

My chickens are 18 weeks and 1 day old. Not sure which chicken laid the egg, but it's still an egg.

I'm still waiting...mine are 18 weeks 4 days! They're slackers! But, we are in the midst of a heat wave/drought here in E. Texas, so I don't know if they'll start laying in this climate or not. Hopeful though!

Yay! I got my first egg yesterday! I don't know who laid mine either. I have 4 chickens. They are 4 months old. I think that mine are young to be laying already!

Congratulations on everyone's first eggs. My oldest chicken, a white rock, started laying this week too. I've got 5 eggs in 5 days. I'm having a BIG scrambled egg breakfast Saturday morning.
